Directions and Parking
Center Location
We are centrally located in the heart of Madison Valley (for directions, please see the map, immediately below).
We also meet once a week on the Eastside (in Bellevue), for sitting practice and instruction. For information on that, please see: Eastside Shambhala Meditation Group.
Parking, and getting to the center...
In order to be good neighbors, we are asking people to take steps to disperse our impact of cars on the Madison Valley neighborhood when we attend events.
If you drive, we are asking if you could carpool or park in sparse areas around the neighborhood. Parking within the neighborhood is free, and by walking a block or more, and always parking sparsely (so that we don't crowd or solidly park in any area), it will greatly help in limiting our impact. Thank you!
We are also encouraging members to take advantage of our public transportation system (see bus information below), or to enjoy Seattle's wonderful weather by biking to the center.

Bus
The Center is located just 4 blocks from the #11 Bus Line, which runs on E Madison St, and stops nearest the center, around the intersection of Madison and 28th Ave / MLK Way (there's a light at that intersection).
The #8 Bus Line also stops near the center, though it only runs until about 7:00 PM on weekdays and not at all on weekends.
The #43, #44, and #48 Bus Lines stop at 23rd Ave and John, which is a short 10 minute walk from the center. (And you can often catch a ride back up the hill with someone!)
You can also use Google Maps (to do so, click on "get directions to here", enter your starting address, then click on "take public transit"), or Metro's Trip Planner, to figure out the best bus route.
