Community
"Sangha" is the Sanskrit term for "community of practitioners" -- one of the three jewels of Buddhism. The Seattle Shambhala Meditation Center is home to a wonderfully diverse community who share a genuine connection to contemplative practice and the aspiration to realize a more wakeful, sane society.
Members and friends of the Shambhala Center are warmly welcome to attend public community practice, events, celebrations, and meetings. Some programs have prerequisites. Families with children are also welcome for many community events.
To view upcoming community events, please visit our Programs page: Community Events.
If you'd like to attend an open house or introductory talk, please see: Open House and Weekly Practice.
